Legally sanctioned racism abounded, and those who helped build this country, and sought to build a better life for themselves, struggled immensely. In class we will use first-hand accounts, stories, photographs, documentaries, inquiry projects, role-writing, peer-teaching and collaborative experiences to delve into Canada's immigration history and its impact still felt today.
